Artist History
The Clerks have been fully together for almost 2 years now, but have been playing with each other for more than 5. Since 1996 when they began, only playing to their parents and trees in Bassist Brett Sayers’ Backyard everyone knew something was going to pop, in the summer of 1999 it did, and it was huge. They began slowly playing at local VFW halls, and basement shows to minor crowds of 20-30 kids, and have now progressed to selling out the Backline in Silvercreek, NY and playing to over 500 people. The local popularity has grown enormously, thanks to their catchy songs, and powerful live stage performance. The turning point for slow to fast popped when they played an hour set at a Benefit show for the Willebrandt Family (Survivors after The Late Jesse Willebrandt of Brocton NY) with The Pavers and Many other local music talents. The crowd was huge with many different age groups, and enjoyed every minute of The Clerks On stage presence. Crowds than grew as people and their friends came to witness this locally historical pop/punk band.Since their first show on Halloween of 1999 they have played over 40 shows from Buffalo to Erie Pennsylvania, and are continuing to spread out further. They have progressed far as musicians and ever further as friends. They are powerful, and will be for a long time. |
