Artist History Patrick Mata of KOMMUNITY FK hooked up with Sherry Rubber from Seattle's RUBBER and LA's RAW FLOWER, along with Sanfransico's East Bay veteran BADASS Bass player HEATHER D.! PATRICK MATA had a road break with his legendary band KOMMUNITY FK to catch up with the release of his new debut solo CD "Hydrocarbons from a Meteorite(Green)", and interviews. Patrick got coxed into 'jamming' with Sherry. The two wrote 23 rockin' songs ...hence TEXYLVANIA was born!The music is phenomenal. The live shows are unforgettable. The fan base of TEXYLVANIA grows stronger every week. Texylvania is a band that immediately caught the attention of the Chicago based record company Invisible Records. Texylvania headlined their first three live shows in Seattle. Soon after Invisible Records invited Texylvania to be a part of their tribute album to Johny Cash entitled 'Cash to Chaos'. Texylvania generated so much worldwide praise from this release that Invisible Records placed Texylvania on their newest release titled 'Mutations' a tribute to the great Alice Cooper. Soon after Sherry Rubber was contacted by Wess Beach guitarist and song writer for the one and only Plasmatics! Wes told Sherry her voice reminded him so much of Wendy O that he asked Texylvania to please be on his upcoming tribute album to his own legendary band The Plasmatics. Not only are Texylvania doing well musically on Invisible Records, CEO Martin Atkins (Ministry, Killing Joke, and Pigface fame), has licensed Patrik's art work for album covers for other artists signed to the label. Texylvania keeps all doors open at all times. The band recently released their super smash single 'You're Not Very-Mary' on their own. This single sold out in every store it was consigned to on the West Coast. Texylvania has also recently released their own full-length album, which is for sale through MP3.com. Texylvania's most recent recording of their newest masterpiece "See How You Are" is for the label Go-Kustom Records. This is scheduled for release in November 2002. The song writing team of Patrik and Sherry are very happy with this latest recording, and promise is to be the best yet. If you have never seen Texylvania live it is highly recommended that you do so. Texylvania generates tons of energy during every set. Sherry Rubber and Patrik FK trade off the duties of lead vocals and guitar half way through the show (it is if you get two bands in one), Heather is the best female bass players ever to come out of the Seattle scene! The Tex-ettes (Texylvania's sexy go-go dancers) grove and grind to the hooks that are Texylvania within the mists of rolling fog/smoke machines, audience members shoot off cans of Silly String while singing along with every song, Patrik does his infamous blood tricks, while tons of T-shirts, stickers, buttons and CD's are given out during the whole show. Great fun. Every step Texylvania makes is taken very seriously with every member of the Texylvania team.
