Artist description
Jubilation has been a leader in music worship at our home parish of St. George's Anglican Church in Calgary, Alberta, Canada for close to twenty years, playing on the second and fourth Sundays of each month. We also provide music for some of our sister parishes when requested, travelling approximately four or five times a year to other churches within our diocese. The twenty member group has seen various incarnations over the years and is currently under the leadership of Tim Elaschuk (instrumentals) and Joan Carson (choral/vocals). Our main music style is Christian contemporary although we have adapted many traditional hymn songs and we enjoy experimenting with different styles. Our repertoire, which now includes some "homegrown" material, includes praise and worship songs that have many influences from folk, celtic, blues, spiritual, country and jazz. We believe that the Lord speaks in many wonderous ways - one's heart just needs to be open in order to hear Him! |
