Artist History
It started in 1997 when Brian, a new guitarist, and Justin met at school in their 9th grade year. They got together one weekend and formed a band called "FM." The name stuck with them for a while. Almost a year later, Aaron joined the band. Aaron had no experience at all on the drums and they played their first "show" at the school talent show. In the summer of 1998, Aaron bought his drum set and began progressing. The trio was Justin on bass, Brian on guitar and Aaron on drums. Things went pretty good until they realized they needed to be a 4 piece with 2 people on guitar. This was about the time that the band decided they needed a new name with the new sound they were making. After much debate, the name "AUDINAUT" was created by Brian. He combined the words 'Audio' and 'Astronaut'. This make sense because Audinaut explores sound. The four-piece played a few local shows with Mills (lead guitarist from the band Pure irate Souls) filling in on bass for a few shows. Mills's band broke up a few months later and he joined the band as a guitarist. Brian decided that bass would be his forte, and finally, Audinaut was a complete band. They have been playing together in this form since January 2001. -- Current as of September 2001. |
