Artist History
Formed in 1995, the band consists of Jason Mahon handling lead vocals and guitar, Mike Hernandez on bass, Andy Dibben on the drum kit, and newest member Dan Camacho, also on guitar and back up vocals. Growing up listening to tunes by Nirvana, Depeche Mode, Failure, and Radiohead, these four guys developed a way to create a brand of abrasive melodies they could call their own. |

Press Reviews
California is known for their strong music scene, as it seems that is where some of the hottest bands have risen from in the past decade. With indie rock and emo growing stronger as a musical style everyday, California is seeing a new breed of musicians putting forth emotion and feeling in their music like never before. 7th Standard are riding this huge wave of groups, and on Fire From the Sky, they prove yet again why indie rock is a dominant force in the underground scene. 7th Standard has emotion and heart that other bands just can't seem to display in their music lately, and Fire From the Sky sounds like a professional album with it's rich textures and vibrant sounds. While this style is not for every music fan, anyone into Nirvana or The Get-Up Kids will find 7th Standard to be amazing. - LochnessPimpster
