Artist History
In December of 1996, I basically had nothing to do. I had just graduated College and had no job. Tim called me one day and said, "Dude, you should come out to California." At the time I was living in New Mexico, and California sounded pretty good. For a short time Tim lived in New Mexico, and that is how we met. We were only two of four long hairs in our high school so it was only natural we should hang out. We both played instruments so it was a natural friendship. I agreed to move out with only one condition, we form a band. Well, two years passed and nothing really had started. I got to the point were I was frustrated with the whole idea. We jammed, wrote a few songs, and drank beer. I felt this was going nowhere. I had a long talk with myself and decided to get real. I started to write a lot of songs. I had a small collection of demo songs and started to leak them out. I got a positive response from those who listened. Now I had songs but no name. I went through a few names before settling on Xanthic Acid. I came up with Xanthic Acid when I was at work looking in the dictionary. I felt it matched the music perfectly. Now it is time for assimilation. |
