Artist History
The MEG started in a south Minneapolis living room in the summer of 1999. Three girls with guitars, a couple practice amps, and a vision. "We can write songs too, can't we?" And so they did. With only a dozen or so live shows under their belts and 2 singles recorded, 2001 appears to be the year for bigger and better MEG things. |

Press Reviews
Best New Band Contenders, Local Music 2000: " Honest songs about relationships on the bar scene, with that classic '90s Minneapolis pop sound. Simplistic but promising." -Simon Peter Groebner, Minneapolis Star Tribune. "Simple, honeyed vocals bloom into lush, fuzzy harmonies of girls and their guitars. The Meg are poppy enough to satisfy the sweet tooth of Indie rockers who prefer cuddly songs over crushing ones." -Jennifer M., Listen.com |
