Artist description
Hip-Hop lyricist and vocalist, Swirv blends all forms of musical creativity to encompass a completely individual style of his own for his era. While clearly a skilled and determinately dominant lyricist, Scorp'ion remains as the end result of years of cultural influence from hip-hop's greatest MC's. |

Artist History
Born October 28, 1976 the second of what would become four sibling brothers to Allison and Ronald Sigler. As a child his musical influences were extremely diverse as he was traditionally raised as a lead vocalist even at the age of 5, 6, and 7 years old. Back then hip-hop was just starting to blow up so pop’s still had him and his brother Melvin and Butchy in band practice singing, playing the bass guitar and drums respectively as he worked the hell outta the electric guitar. After years of accolades in the athletic realm of creativity by Jr. high school 8th grade he was again seeking to expand my interest. By this time hip-hop’s influence was stongly growing, as he was inspired to start writing raps with a few kids Rob Ford and Rasheed Caroll. Once a student at George Washington high school everybody and their mother was rapping. But he was one of the few guys in the lunchroom spittin’ verses for the crowds over the lunchroom tables one period and outside the caf in the halls harmonizing with the R&B cats with major skills the next. By his senior year at Washington High, he was a 1st Team All City, collage bound, Scholar athlete on his way to doing the things the rest of his squad talked or dreamed about doing. The college years was a maturing period for Swirv which allowed him to fully accept the appropriateness within my taking on so many creative roles: elite athlete, lead vocalist, lyricists, artist, musician, public speaker, etc. While at college he grew in several directions of ability all while continuing to build his then rusty writing inspirations by freestyling with the best the school had to offer. But while in college his hip-hop influences were overshadowed by his widely accepted vocalist talents, which he exercised at several campus functions. (Bloomsberg University) As the end of his collegiate years drew to reality I began to re-institute himself to SHOK (School of Hard Knocks) and show that my skill and creativity is like nothing ever known before. Now he’s currently a graduate student going for his Masters in Special Education. “ I’m doin’ this so that I can not only help those less fortunate than myself but also to school the oceans of underqualified lyricists with record deals who think that just because their life was fucked up the world owes them something. Fuck That! The world don’t owe me shit!” |
