Artist History
In 1982 Dave Updegrove and John Fischer sequestered themselves away in small, church basement and put together an albums worth of original tunes. Although this was done mainly for demo purposes, the music and the message were on their hearts even though the quality wasn't that great. "we were doing everything ourselves - from overdubbing vocals and instruments, to engineering, using a 4 track and tapco mixer. We only existed as Minstrel for that one month period in 82, and here we are, 18 years later looking back. In hearing these songs again, some fairly well produced, (some not so well), I'm still amazed at some of Dave's great writing and some of the good ideas buried in some of these rough mixes. My purpose for posting these (as well as offering the CD) is two-fold; as a way to archive a time in our past (personally speaking) and even more important, as a way of fulling our original vision to get out this message of God's Love for a dying world. Thanks for listening". |
