Artist description Brown Sounds is a potent hybrid of electronic and organic sounds at the intersection of future dance culture and south asian contemporary and folk/classical music. Brown Sounds is Washington DC based Kaushik Mukerjee in collaboration with a multitude of talented singers and players.

Artist History Kaushik is DJ and host of the 'Mantra' nights in the nation's capital. He has performed with jazz guitarist Rob levit and Monsoon Recordings arist Sharaab. As a DJ, producer, and remixer Kaushik has released many internet-only tracks to acclaim from fans around the world. He is currently a member of the ensemble touchingGrace with acclaimed sitar player Jay Kishor.
