The concept behind "iszoloscope" is an audio portrait of the effects on judgment, mental health, interpersonal values and anger of isolation on a human being: "The inability to express and understand thoughts & feelings, the irrational thinking that fallows and the overwhelming anger that climaxes as a result in unpredictible cycles (just toutching the surface)."the sound of the inmost thought the sound of the inmost confusion the sound of panic, fear & terror |

Artist History
May 1999, François Bénard & Yann Faussurier finally got serious about creating their own sound. Both with an interesting background as DJs and time on their hands, the sound of iszoloscope took shape. After a year and a half of experimenting and some half baked demos, we were noticed and played on Secret Society, a Belgian radio show on Cantraal 103.9 on July 8th, 2000. We did our first attempt for a live gig at Gallery 101 (Ottawa) on August 6th 2000, thanks to the surprisingly positive response from the crowd we decided to continue performing in future live shows. We were then contacted by Spectre Records ( Belgium) for a CD release that was scheduled at the time for early 2001. With this at hand we had enough credibility and leverage to open for Xingu Hill and Ammo on Halloween 2000 at a local nightclub (Zaphod). After completely breaking the ice in the local industrial scene we performed live at 2 other occasions: Gallery 101 on March 2nd 2001 where we performed with electro acoustic guitarist Shane Whitbread. Then, at Zaphod on April 3rd, 2001. This time opening for Orphx, Vromb & Silk Saw. On May 20th, 2001 the lineup of iszoloscope changed, François Bénard was no longer part of it. Personal reasons from my end and a lack of time and resources on his caused this decision. Recently, Harsh Reality Productions became in charge of our north american management with, in perspective, upcoming shows around Canada and the US for later this summer. As for the release with Spectre Records, it is now officially scheduled for July 1st, 2001 (in Belgium). The release will include a full length CD (Coagulating Wreckage) plus a box set with the CD and a 7" (Solistice) with 2 exclusive tracks. |
