Press Reviews
From the San Antonio Current the week of Aug. 19-25, 1999. page 13 (Sun Poets): Another poet steps up center stage amid thunderous applause. A surefire doppleganger for legendary acid king Timothy Leary, storyteller Edgar Pace is a white-haired sage with a tattooed peace sign on his right hand that reads "Gaia-Earth Goddess." He recites a well crafted poem to the Boerne City Council protesting the cutting of sacred trees: "Where are the protectors/in justice halls? Those lofty/Halls of ideals & Laws/Those elected are taking the/bribe money/developers donating/pouring out like honey." His voice is commanding, and intonation professional. The mainly twentysomething crowd is awed and claps enthusiastically when he finishes. |
