    Artist History
Originating in the summer of 2000, Brodie quickly hit the scene with the "play as much as you can, anywhere you can" mentality. With their high energy live show and no ego attitude; fans quickly accepted Brodie. Influenced by bands such as Green Day, Face to Face, and NOFX, Brodie's unique, yet familiar pop-punk sound with true life, story telling lyrics made it easy for fans to relate to, and the bands fan base rapidly grew. After recording their first demo, Brodie also saw instant success on the Internet, earning them several songs in the top of the charts at mp3.com, including #1 skate punk hit "Perfect Girl." 2001, with a ton of local shows under their belt and a few hundred copies of their demo, Brodie then hit the road with local friends, All Wound Up (Tooth and Nail) for their first US tour. Spanning across the Western US, in three weeks the boys found their love for the road. Even if there was a cancelled show, the band found somehow to play a club every single night, selling out of all cd's by the end of the trip. This hard work payed off, when the boys received a phone call at the end of the tour, offering them a spot on A&M recoding artists MXPX's upcoming fall tour. Upon returning home, Brodie stepped back into the studio to record 6 new songs for a split cd with Canada's Glasshead. The cd was pressed and the boys headed out on their first large tour with MXPX, playing such venues as The House Of Blues in Hollywood, Bakersfield Convention Center, and Santa Cruz's Catalyst Club. Brodie was a huge success on the tour, selling a ton of merchandise and increasing their ever-growing fan base. December 2001. Brodie hit the studio again to record the "When I'm With You" EP, teaming up with producer Blair Calibaba (Sum 41, Gob). About this time Brodie was doing better than ever on mp3.com with 9 out of 11 songs in the Punk top 40 and the #1 selling cd on mp3.com. 2002, Upon finishing the EP, the band continued to play a ton of shows in Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada and throughout British Columbia, sharing the stage with such bands as Mest, Finch, Flogging Molly, Allister, Inspection 12, Trik Turner, Vendetta Red, One Side Zero, and Showoff to name a few. The new EP was also released in Japan on Big Mouth Records and in the UK on 20 Deck Records, selling upwards of 10,000+ copies in international sales alone. Local radio stations and nation wide college stations also liked the pop-punk stylings of Brodie's new cd as the band saw more and more radio airplay. Brodie also hopped on the 2002 Vans Warped Tour, sharing the stage with Finch, Homegrown, The Starting Line, Autopilot Off and other Drive Thru Records bands, on the Drive Thru stage. The year 2003 showed no signs of the band slowing down. In Feb-Mar Brodie headed over seas to Japan and the UK for their first headlining international tour, supporting the "When I'm With You" EP. The tour was a complete success. Soon after, the band focused on writing new songs to record their first full-length album. After a couple months of writing and finalizing the songs, as well as finding time to tour with punk greats MXPX again (this time on the east coast), They headed back into the studio to record their long awaited full-length album, "The Good Life." "The Good Life" is Brodie's latest offering. Produced by Jeremy Dubois (New Found Glory, Dashboard Confessional), the record is more mature and technical, with lyrics about dealing with depression, failed relationships, and other real life problems. "I think we finally found our niche." Says Adam Wilson (vocals/guitar). "The songs have never come together so well. I think we have definitely defined a sound that is truly our own." The album is still blazing with tight drumbeats and a huge guitar sound, but the songs are more diverse than before. "We finally got the chance to focus on writing an actual Album, instead of just a bunch of songs. The goal for this cd was to make the whole album flow well from beginning to end. I think 'The Good Life' is one of those cd's that You can listen to the whole album and never want to skip a song." Says Adam Wilson.
