Artist description
Welcome to the mp3.com home of The Flaming Boodah! The Flaming Boodah is the hippiest, trippiest group of musicians ever to string two meaningless words together. They grew up in the Specific Northwest, right next to the big tree, and an old woman holding an apple. The music they play is really... odd. But very nice. It's a twisted blend of blues, funk, trip hop, yacc herding music, jazz, reggae, and if any of them knew how to play the accordian, they'd probably throw in some polka, too. They just released their first CD, and are ridiculously proud of it. Of course, they're not playing any of their own instruments, and the vocals were dubbed in by a local girl scout troup (cheap labor). But that's good. When you see them lip-syncing on stage, you'll know you're getting the same all-out effort that they put into the studio recording. The name of the CD is Torch Songs, not to be confused with real torch songs, which just plain suck. These songs suck in a much fancier way. Take the song My Name Is Legion, for instance. Can ANYONE tell me what the heck they're trying to say here? I'm giving away free mouse pads to the first five people who even come close. And what about that "...bring my daddy down" nonsense in SleepyHead? Or that song "MakeUp". Are these people TRYING to scare me? |
