    Artist description
Maz & Kilgore's creative partnership began in 1989. Alongside writing and producing for major recording artists and consulting with leading manufacturers of musical technology, Maz & Kilgore were Acid Jazz pioneers in the early 1990's. This lead to their first Grammy nomination in 1993, and in 1995 they won a Grammy in the Jazz category for "Out of the Loop", featuring the Brecker Brothers. Robby Kilgore has played keyboards on some of the best selling records of the last decade or more. He's recorded with such artists as Steve Winwood, Tom Waits, Laurie Anderson, The Stones, James Taylor, and Paul McCartney. His live work onstage includes Tina Turner and Mick Jagger at Live Aid, Hall & Oates, Ryuichi Sakamoto and numerous other television and video appearances. He was also a co-designer of the "M-1 Workstation" at Korg, Japan, one of the most successful synthesizers ever. Maz Kessler was signed to CBS songs in 1986. She wrote and performed with such artists as Madonna, Culture Club, Soul to Soul and Men at Work. As well as writing several top ten hits for pop radio, Maz also composed award-winning scores for theater, film and television. She studied law briefly at the London School of Economics before leaving to pursue her career as a producer, songwriter and musician.
