From teen pop idols to the re-reinvention of heavy metal, it seems like rock as we know it has been left behind. C.J. Ambrosia, a Western New York native and twelve-year musician, hopes to help change that. With the help of some new friends and a few old ones, Ambrosia has managed to bring back some of the innocence of those classic rock acts. Possessing few of the angry/moody qualities that top the charts these days, his music blends two of the most common of elements: life and love. "Music and love: the two universal languages. I don't like to look at it like 'I'm targeting this group of people because it's hot now.' I make music that I like, and think that others will like it too. The best songs are the ones you can relate to," says Ambrosia.

Artist History Wake UP! is the continuation of what was started with 'Believe', a song of hope and believing in not only others, but yourself as well. Layered guitars and vocals dominate the recording, much like 'Leave (If You Want To)' and 'All I Want From You', while the quiet simplicity of songs like 'Can We', 'Brand New Day', and 'What About Me' keep things on an even keel for all listeners, not just one genre or another. Ambrosia lets his influences of Collective Soul, Journey and Stevie Ray Vaughn shine through, while still maintaining his own identity. The songs, he says, speak for themselves. With the release of Wake UP!, Ambrosia has, in a sense, come full circle. Drummer Doug Arber was involved in the production of the CD, and will be on the road with Ambrosia. Long time friend and bassist Chris Webster also recently came on board, and you get the feeling that it will be 'old home' night when they appear together on stage. "One of the best rhythm sections I've ever had the privilege of working with, bar none. It definitely helps that I'm long time friends with them as well". So what does the future hold?
