Artist History She is simply known as Angel; a promising young artist who is making a name for herself as solo artist,as well as a professional back-up singer for some of Jamaica's top international performers;including 'Jr.Gong', Julian Marley,Anthony B, The Gladiator's, The Wailers Band & Maxi Priest.Angel's creative energies and interest in the arts led her to participate in School and Youth Clubs where she achieved awards for; music, drama, dub-poetry and dance in both Regional and National competitions. At the age of thirteen she won the Jamaican leg of the 'Ms.Hal Jackson Talented Teen' and went on to represent her country at the international finals held at the Apollo Theatre,NY.Since beginning her professional career, Angel has matured through cabaret performances,pleasing her audiences with her soul and groove. Whilst recording and releasing singles such as 'Love'(Taxi,'95), 'Baby be True'(Big Ship,'99) and 'When Your're Ready'(Ruff Cutt-UK,2001), Angel has enjoyed being invited to be apart of tours such as Lollapalooza '97 (with Jr.Gong & Julian Marley)and Japansplash '96,'98,& '2000. Adding to her credits, she was apart of a musical called 'Hot Pepper Lawn' that did dates in Leads,Manchester,Birmingham and in London at the Hackney Empire.The singer enjoys writing her own tunes and enjoyed the completion of her first album 'Just Me'; the tracks tell the tales of 'love and reality' and consists of the musical blend of Reggae, Lovers-Rock and R&B.She is all ears when it comes to music and places no limits for her in her life and with her music there is 'no rules, no barriers, just imagination'....
