Artist History
The Cause formed in 1997 as a pop-punk band, and after replacing a few members here and there took its course and became what it is today. In that time the band has released one full length (OOP), and a split with their friends' band American Tragedy, as well as a couple demos...Their new EP is coming out in the summer of 2001 and will be released on Ides of March Records (matt fox from Shai's label)...The Cause has also been featured on over 15 comps, including 2 video comps, has also played on live tv, toured the west coast and up into Canada as well as sharing the stage with bands like: Unwritten Law, Avail, Suicide Machines, Strife, Good Riddance, Strung Out, Millencolin, Pulley, Boy Sets Fire, Reel Big Fish, Dance Hall Crashers, No Use for a Name, Guttermouth, Shutdown, Catch 22, Death By Stereo, Jughead's Revenge, The Vandals, Lunachicks...just to name a few. The lyrics are mostly politically motivated, but every now and then Christopher will write a love song. The Cause are a force to be reckoned with... |
