Artist History Conceived as a jam session group but revived as a full ska ensemble, the Amazing Skasmonauts were assembled by Jeffrey Skasmonaut, who rounded up several musical cohorts to form a ska band that would keep a sense of respect for its roots while progressing the sound to blend with other genres. Armed with peppy ska and wacky antics, the gang debuted for a crowd of over a hundred, causing a mosh pit that the band's friend Dylan Richardson declared "The craziest mosh pit I've ever been in - crazier than Reel Big Fish's." The Amazing Skasmonauts have continued playing shows, and decided to record songs aimed to unite the world in peace (or at least make 'em skank it up). The Skasmonauts have gone through a few members, and have grown quite large at times with temporary allies, but all the while the core group has moved the sound to a mature mix of ska with the more punk- and rock-influenced aspects of the Third Wave.

On a totally unrelated subject, we have been mentioned on national television. One of our stranger fans e-mailed TRL on MTV with a request for one of our songs.
