Artist description
From the liner notes by Christoph Wolff: Milenko Tanasijevic's fugal compositions preserve the Bachian patterns of a motoric drive, contrapuntal transparency, virtuoso techniques, intellectual assurance and musical intensity and vigor. The classical elements are engaged in a fusion with Jazz harmonic language and complex Macedonian folk dance motives. The effect is one of synergy and transcendence of diverse musical realms. |
