Artist History
Carpet Room was formed in 1997 when drummer Greg Randuch and guitarist Micah Beverly met lyricist Adam Romswinckel-Guise. That year, they took first place out of 20 bands competing in The Music Tree's Battle of the Bands, in Gilroy, CA. With the addition of bass player Navid Nayebi a year later, Carpet Room's style was complete. The band self-released its first album "Demonstrate" in 1999. "Demonstrate" gained immediate local and international attention: Carpet Room granted the rights to air selected tracks from the CD on a major network news show in Los Angeles. In 2000, the Japanese editorial company Shinyusha selected the track "Forgotten" to be used as part of a multi-media mp3 tutorial (book and CD). Carpet Room is scheduled to return to the studio in Spring 2001 to record their next CD, a four-song demo featuring their newest hits, "What I Feel" and "Enjoy the Ride." |
