Artist description
Red Letter Day (or RLD) has a unique sound. Lead singer Suzanna Mallow can go from singing songs like "Learning to Breathe" which can make almost anyone cry to belting out "Whacked," a satirical song about a warped girl who ruins lives for fun. Sometimes RLD is just Suzanna, and sometimes there are anywhere from one to three guest musicians. |

Music Style
acoustic rock, singer-songwriter, pop, rock, blues. |
 |
Musical Influences
It’s hard to pinpoint Red Letter Day’s influences, but it’s best described as Bonnie Raitt eating fried okra with Simon and Garfunkel while Hank Williams Sr. watches Stevie Nicks “pimp the bundle” (the bundle being a concert emceed by Dr. Seuss and featuring Edie Brickell, Van Morrison, and James Taylor), while a gospel choir hits a midnight showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. |
