    Artist description
    What some have called jamming/acoustic/hippie/folk/rock, the duo that was to become the Porch Daddies formed in early 1996 when Michael Babb and Stephen Quigley met and began jamming. "We met in 1996, and after jamming for a little while, we've been playing together in some form ever since."

    Artist History
    They were playing together on each other's porches in 1996 right after they met and eventually started writing songs together, in addition to the music they had written separately. They've spent the last year or so in the studio recording some of the accumulated material, the result being "Appalachian Bandwidth", a jazzy, new age folk instrumental album, and a self-titled disk, all written, recorded, and produced independently.
