Artist History
1999 was a strangely good year. The promotional vein of the Trinidadian rock industry is aneamic; cover bands have always dominated and talented original acts were never really given the proper encouragement or tools with which to craft their art professionally. But in the minds of James Amow [vocals], Scott Johnstone [lead guitar], Chad Mouttet [bass], Bernard Abreau [percussion] and Adam Murray [rhythm guitar], aneamia fuels the drive to succeed. That and a heavy dose of melodic angst, mature songwriting and a solid friendship both on and off the stage.Welcome to the strangely good 1999 of "Incert Coin". With influences such as the Deftones, Tool, Pantera and Alice in Chains to name a few, the Incert Coin sound has been crafted and revised, making feeling and structure the two most important elements of their music all the while allowing the heaviness of metal to brood. Utilising a dual seven-string wall-of-sound, body-shifting bass lines, conscientious drumming and vocal harmony, Incert Coin have a few tricks up their sleeves and are not afraid to let them show. |
