Artist description Carimba are a concept band based in Glasgow in Scotland. Incorporating the fusion of various musical styles, based on the principles of the jazz funk/rock era of the 80's. Music based on today's rhythms overlaid by the basic jazz sound. That is Carimba. Fusion of musical styles is nothing new but the scope for diversification is endless. This group create music based on rhythm - on dance styles from around the world - cemented by the basic sound of soulful, smooth jazz. Enjoy the journey!
