Artist History
Grab your dancing shoes, grab yourself and get ready for Manitoba, Canada's hottest pair - TARRY TROUSERS! The boy's play a boisterous blend of traditional, contemporary and original Celtic/Maritime music guaranteed to please young and old audiences alike! TARRY TROUSERS, multi-instrumentalists Rob Rheubottom and Mark Cameron have become well loved fixtures on the Manitoba music scene. Whether performing on CBC's Culture Shock, Friday Night Vibes, or A-Channel's Big Breakfast Club, at large scale shows for the Pan Am Games, Festival Du Voyageur or the Red River Celtic Festival, promotional shows for for the Downtown or Exchange District Business Associations, or onstage at the King's Head, the Irish Club or the Toad on Main, THE TROUSERED ONES serve up the tunes piping hot along with a dash of down home humour. The 2001 release of their first CD "BY THE SEAT OF OUR PANTS" will only serve to strengthen TARRY TROUSERS' growing legion of fans. The CD features six Rheubottom/Cameron originals along with their own eclectic and often hilarious arrangements of Celtic/Maritime favourites! Musical pyrotechnics from guest artists such as Scuj McDuhk's fiddler Jermey Penner and Real McKenzie bagpiper Matthew McNasty help keep the heat turned up to maximum! The CD features a good cross section of THE TROUSERED ONES' live show and will delight both longtime fans and newcomers alike! Come and sing! Come and dance! Laugh until you piddle your pants! Come party with us - TARRY TROUSERS! |
