Artist History Spickenagel began in 1995 as a side project of JohnnyB and Earl, who were both involved in a thrash/metal band during high school. "Our drummer and singer were famous for missing practice on a regular basis," says Earl, "so we just started making music with the computer and samplers and keyboards and somehow became Spickenagel" Since then the band has pressed on, creating strange, funky, off-the-wall music for literally millions of...well for thousands...oh, allright...for a few people to enjoy. Spickenagel is anticipating the release of their debut album, "Spinning Jenny," due out whenever they feel like it. "We've got probably 30 or 40 songs started. We're terrible about finishing them, though." The handful that are completely written are in the process of being mixed and polished up for release. Then there's over five years worth of ear-candy to go through and finish up. "What can I say, our whole existence is a work-in-progress."
