THE SOUNDCHASER PROJECT debut CD "Intergalactic Radio Station" , released Dec/2000, is available for worldwide distribution at Renaissance Records (http://www.rockprogressivo.com.br/sominterior/art.htm). Our musical influences are mostly from the Progressive Rock bands that flourished in the seventies : Pink Floyd, Genesis, ELP, PFM, Camel, Focus, Hawkwind, Greenslade, Mike Oldfield, Yes, Vangelis, King Crimson, Brian Eno, Man, Gong, Jean-Michel Jarre and Tangerine Dream. We should also mention some of the fusion influences such as Soft Machine, Weather Report, Jean-Luc Ponty, Return to Forever, Brand X, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Jan Hammer, Jeff Beck and Devadip Santana. This doesn't mean that we sound like them, we are just paying due respect to the masters. Of newer influences we'll mention Enigma, Innocence, Bass Enigma, Jam & Spoon, Orbital, Leftfield, Art of Noise, Akasha, Adam F, Portishead and so many others. We hope you take as much joy in listening to our music as we had in making it.

Artist History THE SOUNDCHASER PROJECT is formed by : RENATO MENEZES - Electric Guitars, Guitar Synths, Keyboards and Synthesizers . Renato is an experienced guitar player with live performances at the local scene in Rio de Janeiro in the early eighties. As a Systems Engineering and Computer Sciences graduate he united his musical and technical abilities with the unlimited resources that a digital recording studio can offer and is the musician behind this new project. He's also the producer and engineer, running his private project studio, Moonstone Studio in Rio de Janeiro. SOREN LEMCHE - Lyrics, Vocals and additional Keyboards. Soren is an inspirational force, the vibes within the project, besides the poetical vein.

It's called "Intergalactic Radio Station" and anyone who's a fan of Tangerine Dream, or electronic music in general should definitely check it out. It's been firmly lodged in my cd player now for a week and it doesn't look like it's moving in the near future! I really do think they use these vintage early 80's digital keyboards wonderfully. There is no doubt that these chaps have talent.
