Artist description
RE Blitz is only 17 years old but has been writing original compositions since he was 14. He has performed at local coffee houses, bars and clubs throughout the Baltimore area, such as the 8x10 Club, Paloma's, and The Recher Theatre. He has a very eclectic style that shows influences from Elton John to Led Zeppelin. During his performances RE plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, and sometimes even hand percussion instruments. His lyrics are heartfelt and meaningful and his tuneful music creates a perfect blend for audiences. His varied styles keep the audiences rocking at points and at others sitting back and soaking in the soulful ballads. Unlike many of today's artists, RE's songs are very personal in nature, yet we can all relate to them. You will leave the show deep in thought, while humming his tunes and tapping your feet. Contemporary influences of his music are: Counting Crows, Guster, Dispatch, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Vertical Horizon. You'll have to constantly remind yourself throughout his concert that the words and music being performed have been written by a 17 year old.
