Press Reviews PORNSTORE JANITOR "Porn Again" (Self-released CD) These Portland guys grind out that kind of sticky-beer-punk-rock you can't get enough of (unless you're a fucking wuss). It's always hard to write about stuff like this; just know that some of it's godda mn catchy and all of it slams. All punk bands get one song called "Fuck You"; these guys mean it positively. Other inspirational titles: "Drink, Drive, & Masturbate," "Dope Chick," "Remember Freedom." Glad they can still remember something. -Samantha Z inn BACKFIRE MAGAZINE VOL. 4, NO. 3 (August-October 2001) Pornstore Janitor Porn Again (self-release) The band name made me grab the disk out of curiosity. The CD title intrigued me. The disk's 4th track, titled "Drink, Drive, & Masturbate" made me a fan. This is punk rock. The music that helped blow disco ou t of the water, served as background music for skateboard videos in the late eighties, and worked it's way into some ESPN X-Games segments during the nineties to the present. While punk rock is often associated with drunken, poorly assembled jam sessions put on to disc, Porn Again comes across as a drunken, well assembled recording. The musicians of Pornstore Janitor seem to work together, despite the fact that their current lineup is less then 7 months old. "Porn Again" hold true to the punk genre. Wi th song titles that seem to bark out at you ("Drop Out," "Fuck You", "Slime," "Rape," ect.) and astounding hard driving guitar riffs accompanied by (sometimes) incomprehensible lyrics, I would h ave to say that this is a good CD.
