Artist description Andrej is the new “rising star” on the Slovenian music scene. He describes his passion for music as his hobby and his life. One of his biggest wishes came true four years ago when he recorded his first song “Go with him” - Pojdi z njim (original Slovene title). These was his first taste of a musicians’ life . This was also why his first song belonged more to him than to his listeners. He soon recorded another song about the 5th season -Christmas time, which for him is a very magical time, full of hope and good will towards your fellow human beings. The title to the song was simple: “5th season” - Peti letni cas (original Slovene title). The song was played on the local radio stations around Christmas and became very popular. A lot of the time it was a music request from the listeners. However his hopes crushed when he became sick which made him realize a new meaning to life, that vision gave birth to the song “You need someone” - Nekoga rabis. Due to it’s catch lyrics it grew popular amongst older ladies who nicknamed him their Andrejcek “Their little Andrej”. He entered the Slovene music competition called Crtica and reached the final. For the final itself he prepared his first latino-style song “All or nothing” - Vse ali nic which was a sensation.This newly acquired fame brought him together with talented young people who were great to work with. Before the summer of 2001 he will release his first CD. One of his other popular hobbies is travelling which he did quite recently when he visited Brazil (the photo you see was taken in the beautiful Brazilian nature). His music entertained not just the natives, but also Israelis, Germans, Sweeds and others. His passions are also the arts - he quite often visits museums where ever he goes. He also likes to do a bit of cooking, photography, painting. He likes to be around people that inspires him but he also goes out of his way to help those who aren’t so fortunate. He hopes his positive energy will rub of on others which could help them in their lives.From now on he doesn’t have just unfulfilled wishes, but goals.
