Artist description
If you listen carefully, you can hear the Appalachian influence in their cant, a memory of the time they spent in the Blue Ridge learningfrom the old masters themselves. Or you might notice a still older vibe to Paschal, a relic of the time the brothers Stinky and Tabasco Charlie spent in old, decaying Europe, wandering in Slovakia and drinking deep of its rich and powerful folk melodies. But at the heart of Paschal is Old Alabamy herself, the wellspring of their songs and the source of their lovely music. Already one of East/Central Alabama's most popular bands, Paschal is greatly admired in Eastern Europe, the Maldives, Zaire,Togo, the Outer Hebrides and several of the more heavily populated Canadian provinces. |
