Artist description
Joseph is an exciting, gifted, performer and one of the few American born masters of the steel drum. His musical studies began in his birth town of Cleveland, Ohio. At an early age he moved to Boca Raton, Florida with his family and in his late teens ventured to Wichita, Kansas. While in Wichita, Joseph studied percussion under the direction of Dr. J.C. Combs at the Wichita State University and earned a BME degree in music.
With his growing love for jazz, funk, and Caribbean flavored music, Joseph has become a true innovator by blending the sounds of the steel drum, in a cross-cultural musical fashion, with styles and genres of music previously unassociated with his instrument. He has recorded several CD’s and is currently in the works of producing and recording several new projects. His sellout performances have made this young man a favorite in cities such as Minneapolis, New York City, and Washington D.C to name a few.
Joseph now resides in Los Angeles, California under the watchful eye of his personal manager and publicist. Wherever you are, listen up, because you’ll be hearing a whole lot of JOSEPH.
