Artist History
Espestice (1997-2002)
Was formed by M. Eisenmann (guitar/vox) and Tole (bass) with McCoog (drums) and P. Eisenmann (guitar). P. Eisenmann was quickly replaced with Cassel due to location. Writing a few songs, McCoog was replaced with Jason Lang in the fal of 99. This lineup created the music which appears on the"This Calls for a Situation" demo (August 2000). A few months prior to recording the demo, Lang and had personal problems and Owen Stazewski (A Long Winter) filled in during the recording and shows following. After a six month absence, Lang reunited with the band only for a short time before he finally decided to leave for his personal reasons.
During the spring of 2001, through auditions, the band aquired Greg King. During the summer of 2001, the band acuired another new member, Mikey Hynes (Seraphin) to take over vocals. The band recorded 9 songs, but only released five of them on 2001's "Mending the wounds of a Punctured Heart". After playing a handful of shows to promote the album, Hynes moved back to Florida leaving the band in need of a singer. Dave Harris, who emailed the band in the summer of 2001 was finally contacted in March 2002 and joined the band from his audition. The band played a few shows playing new material opening up for such acts as God Forbid, Lab of God, Eighteen Visions, Five Pointe O, Chimaria, and others....
In the sumer of 2002 the band went into the studio to record a full length. Everything was going well after the recording until Greg King unexpectingly had to move to Florida. Since the band had lost an important member and had different plans for the future, the band collectively decided to lay the Espestice project to rest.
From the day Espestice was created until their end, they were continuosly evolving into what they ended up to be. Some members of Espestice have started a new band called "the Killing" (which can be found on mp3.com) with former members of Blue Skies Fade, The Orion Code, and Kinsicore. |
