Artist History
When Diane Falcone's strict father forbade her to sing, the nineteen year old left her family and home in Boston Massachusetts' South Shore, to pursue a career in music. Now in 2000, Diane has two releases and a licensing agreement with Oprah Winfrey's Oxygen TV Network as proof of her talent.Amiee Mann, Fleetwood Mac, The Police, and The Beatles, amongst many others have inspired Falcone's songwriting. L.A. Joe of Boston Soundcheck Magazine described Diane's music as, "smooth, flowing, and well-written." Diane's acoustic pop/rock style is earnest and introspective, embodying the emotions of the human spirit.Falcone is an accomplished singer and performer. She has had extensive vocal training with Mark Baxter, whose students include Steven Tyler, Peter Wolf, Vertical Horizon, and Tonic. While living in Boston, Diane's unique singing style was recognized by the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, and the Boston Celtics. She was invited to sing The National Anthem for full capacity audiences.Falcone's blooming reputation as a vocalist fueled her career to the next level. She soon attracted Boston's best musicians to assist her in performing her original material. Most importantly, producer Stuart Kimball (Peter Wolf, Long Line) took interest in Diane's singing and writing talents. Their efforts resulted in a critically acclaimed self-titled EP released on Falcone's label, Passion Flower Records. David Wildman, critic of the The Boston Globe, wrote, "Check out the sweet pop songs and compelling vocals of up-and-coming artist Diane Falcone." Local radio stations did check out Diane's disc and began spinning the song "All At Once" on stations WMVY, Martha's Vineyard; WATD, Marshfield; WEIM, Fitchburg; WMLM, Milton; WHOB, Nashua. To reinforce the radio airplay, Diane booked shows throughout New England.Falcone continues to approach her music career with intensity and savvy. She has recorded a second CD-EP with producer/engineer, Dave Locke. The accompaniment of drummer John Sands (Aimee Mann), bassist Mike Rivard, (Paula Cole, Jonatha Brooke), and guitar player Adam Steinberg (Patty Griffin, Dixie Chicks, Kim Richie, Laurie Sargent) have helped Diane display that she is a viable singer/songwriter. In addition, Diane studied Computer Science at University of Massachusetts in Boston. She has built a successful computer consulting business, and her competence with computers has allowed her to market herself on the web and gain fans all over the world. Falcone has realized the full potential of being an artist in Boston. Therefore, she is launching the second phase of her career in Nashville, Tennessee. Her tenacious way of putting herself in the spotlight and surrounding herself with the best people has poised her for further success and longevity as a writer and an artist. |
