Artist History Dan began playing piano at age 6, composing at age 16. In 1996, he received a Bachelor of Music Composition degree from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio. In May, 2000, Dan completed his graduate studies in music composition at Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He now lives with his wife, Jessica (see mp3.com/JessicaNewport), his son, Brian (new baby!), and two cats (Kogui and Zaboo) in LaVergne, Tennessee. Dan enjoys teaching piano in the Murfreesboro-Nashville area and enjoys composing and recording new music and making computer-generated fractal art.
