Artist History
Vagaband has enjoyed an on-again, off-again musical partnership since 1986, operating mostly out of Bloomington and Champaign, in central Illinois. With an "anything goes" approach to writing, recording and performing, the group produced two independent cassette releases "Aaron" and "Bill" besides numerous other unreleased recordings in the 80s and 90s. They performed all over Illinois, most notably at the Art Theater in Champaign and nursing homes throughout the central Illinois area. "The most important thing about our music," says Vagaband founder Terrin Krantz, "is that it makes people happy." Vagaband reunited in 2000 to record the soundtrack music to accompany "Santa's Little Helper," a charming short story authored by Krantz. The CD, book and other related products will be available for Christmas 2001 at www.andsothisischristmas.com. |
