    Artist History
Do things happen for a reason, a season or a lifetime? The title from the debut album by Canadian rockers Revolver entitled " A Reason , a season, a lifetime," asks the question. Released in July of 2001 this album is the building blocks for a great group of young musicians, showcasing the band’s unique ability to blend ferocious guitars, with heavy beats and strong melodies. With the first single "Taken" already receiving air play the album is merely a hint of things to come for the band. "This album is a culmination of about two years worth of material that has been sorted through with a fine tooth comb…we worked hard to accomplish what we have now and it’s not going to stop here," states Revolver founder and front man Kris Ward.Originating in 1998 in the nation’s capital of Ottawa, the band has begun to take the next steps in furthering their career. They play shows whenever and wherever possible, "The live show is what it’s all about, the energy and emotion is just something that drives you," states lead guitarist Dan Seguin, who along with Kris Ward on vocals, bass player James Hillock and drummer Mike St-Jean round out the rest of the Revolver lineup. They have come a long way since their inception in 1998 and the band has finally settled down and begun to develop their own sound. Drawing on inspiration from such acts as Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Oasis, Guns N Roses and The Stone Temple Pilots, the band finds themselves ready and able to break the boundaries of contemporary rock and explore different areas of their music. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Ottawa’s Distortion Studios, the album "A Reason, a Season a Lifetime" does just that, strong powerful songs, such as the single, "Taken" or "Breathing is Easy" to more complex emotional songs such as "I Don’t Know" or "Open Season" Revolver has shown that to every good band there must be two different sides. "We hope the album will gain us a loyal following, and lead to future successful projects," says front man Kris Ward who realizes that it will be quite a tough battle to reach the top but welcomes the work. "You can’t call it work if it’s something you love to do."
