Artist History
In the summer of 1999, Joe Hickey and Jim Pfrogner began playing and singing together and writing songs. After a three-month long production of "Godspell", the two had noticed that their voices sounded very nice together, and thought that unlike many local bands that form due to instrumental prowess, they'd build theirs around the vocals (good thing, too, because Joe was still learning guitar when they began jamming). On September 2, they played their first show at the Jahva House in Ellicott City, MD, and have played 20 shows since then, mostly in coffee-house type atmospheres. In the summer of 2000, they recorded their debut album, "Crashing Into the Sun" which was released in November 2000 and is sold exclusively at their shows currently. In May 2001, they added Tim Cooke and Mike Hickey to their lineup on bass and drums respectively as they move toward a more electrified sound. In January 2002, a lack of time and abundance of distance made practicing and performing impossible, and so after two and a half years, Pebble Dare split up. Our music is posted here. Enjoy!!
