Artist History M.C. Brennan began recording music as a child in the 1970's and released a first home-recorded album in 1984. In the late 1980's Brennan (then known as Mike Sortino) began playing alternative folk/pop songs in Phoenix, and later played extensively in San Francisco and Seattle. Now living in Phoenix, Brennan continues to craft folk-pop-punky gems and is working on a new album, the first since 1997's "Black Diamond". Additional: A listener asks: Is Brennan a man or a woman?
