Artist description Fred Friedberg and Equinox is an uncomplicated jazz/easy listening quartet. Uniquely, the lead instrument is a clarinet, rather than the standard trumpet or sax. Describing itself as eclectic jazz, it ranges from standards to originals, latin to swing, funk to bop. Their original ballad, "Don't Push The River", has been called a moving, memorable, haunting instrumental love song. Their music was regarded as "terrific" by Eric Stern, multi- grammy and emmy nominee and winner.
