Artist description
Fred Friedberg and Equinox is an uncomplicated jazz/easy listening quartet. Uniquely, the lead instrument is a clarinet, rather than the standard trumpet or sax. Describing itself as eclectic jazz, it ranges from standards to originals, latin to swing, funk to bop. Their original ballad, "Don't Push The River", has been called a moving, memorable, haunting instrumental love song. Their music was regarded as "terrific" by Eric Stern, multi- grammy and emmy nominee and winner. |

Press Reviews
"Terrific" (Eric Stern, Multi-Grammy nominee and winner)...."Sounds Great" (Corky Siegal)...."Equinox's premier album, TAKE 1, is aptly named...they utilize no special effects or second takes in the studio, and marvelously recorded 45 minutes of music in under an hour. It is refreshing to hear pure quality and energy for a change in the expanding music world...." |
