Artist History
Gordon Mumma, Christopher Butterfield, Linda Catlin Smith, Anthony Genge and Leonard Priestley are persons with whom I have studied. Before that, however, I completed an undergraduate in jazz studies (guitar) at St. Francis Xavier University. I lived for a time in Toronto, Canada where, besides composing, I produced a few new music concerts, co-founded ‘neither/nor’ (a new music composers’ collective) and participated in the underground experimental/alternative improvisation scene. Recently my work “part (mirzh)” was selected to compete for the 2002 Gaudeamus Award, and forth coming are commissioned works for Canadian pianist Eve Egoyan, and the Toronto based ensemble Continuum. Currently Victoria, BC (Canada) is my home; here I (continue to) compose, perform as an improviser and pursue graduate studies (at the University of Victoria). |
