    Press Reviews
"Draconian hails from Sweden, a country reknowned for melodic death metal (At the Gates, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity) and hyperspeed technical black metal (Dissection, Naglfar, Marduk, Dark Funeral). It seems ironic that one of the best and most melodic acts to emerge from this scandinavian country just happens to be a doom metal band. "The Solitude" fades in with rapturous melodies, and by the second measure, thunderous guitars and basso growled vocals explode into an emotional outpouring, reminding thelistener of early Amorphis. The guitar melodies then take over, forlorn yet majestic, and the interplay of light and shadow; beauty and sorrow is almost too great to bear. The song lilts into realms of depression and dejection, the beautiful and supremely executed melodies crafting a spellbinding web -- a morose tonal sculpture. I urge anyone who is as taken with this song as I to download other efforts from this incredible band. Draconian will not disappoint."
