Artist History
Ethan Schiffres (i.e. Disaffection) recorded his 3-song EP, "Not So Subtle Signs," in Takoma Park, Maryland and Bound Brook, New Jersey in the Spring of 2000. This is a follow up to a 2-song EP entitled "Global Warming" that was recorded in Schiffres' bedroom in January 2000 for Ms. Engel's World Geography Class. Fellow Wilson students Jon Cohen (bass), Matt Cohn (vocals), and Ben Wiseman (songwriting) contributed to "Global Warming," released under the name G.W. Crew. Disaffection has performed live acoustic shows at various venues across the DC Area, including the WISP Retreat and Environmental Science Class and at Craig Wasserstrom's party that was broken up by the cops in November 2000.Schiffres has written over 40 songs and plans to release a new album by the end of this school year. Though the track list is not definite, it is likely to feature Disaffection classics such as: "Good Riddance", "Karl Malone", "Evanescence", "What's the Deal? (I Don't Even Know)", and party-favorite "Annette (Beer Goggles)". |
