    Artist History
Aalacho (ah-lah-koh) is the creation of Nathan Scott, a solo electronic musician working out of Seattle, Washington, merging ambient-house, indie-rock and retro-tinged techno in a kaleidoscopic meld of seductive melodies, intriguing counterpoint and infectious rhythms. Aalacho emerged from Seattle's post-grunge movement in the year 2000, embracing the production aesthetics and emotive stylings of the Pacific Northwest's burgeoning indie-rock scene. Relocating to New York City in early 2002 for a year of musical experimentation, Aalacho became a full-fledged project, absorbing the insistent, urban rhythms of the city and laying them down as the bedrock beneath a wash of west-coast inspired vocals and progressive guitars. Aalacho returned to its geographical roots in Seattle in mid-2003, and is completing a follow-up to "Sugar", it's debut release.

    Press Reviews
"Very playful -- but also plenty adventurous. A nice balance between the two extremes, if you will. There is a bit of that German chilliness and some industrial style fuzz, but don't let that throw you. This stuff is fun." --J. Worley, 'aiding & abetting' "The amalgam of ambient house, pop, and spidery soul-infused techno is vastly cool, in many ways resembling the first GusGus cd . . . the beats are intensely mesmerizing, with an overall feeling that is rather ominous and undeniably sexy." --Ciderjane, 'groovystylie.com' "Imagine Brian Eno giving Nine Inch Nails' "Pretty Hate Machine" the ambient treatment, and you're close . . . it has both an otherworldly feel, and a slight sense of dread." --David Medsker, 'PopMatters'
