Artist description
The Mueller Group is a 4-piece instrumental jazz/rock
group based out of Chicago's western suburbs. It is
difficult to catagorize the MG's music. From acoustic
improvised folk-jazz, through latin-flavored grooves,
to searing electric blues, the MG
draws upon a wealth of 20th century influences and
blends them into their own instrumental mix. Two things
remain consistent: the compositions are infectious
and the improvisation is HOT!!

Artist History
Phil Mueller, the bands primary composer has been
writing music for over 20 years, but the group
itself did not start to form until the early 90's
when Mueller and bassist Jim Bennett-Elias met
guitarist Terry Golob and found kindred spirits.
What started as duo and trio projects (mainly
guitars and bass) has grown into a quartet with
two guitars, bass and percussion. In 1996, the
band released their first CD, RECORDED LIVE AT BISTRO
AMERICA, to popular acclaim. After countless gigs
and some personnel changes, they recently released a studio album entitled "Mueller Group" which is available on Amazon .com
