Artist History
Spawned in June '93, the Sufferbus songsmiths craft tunes by blending a tasteful use of structure, dynamics, and sheer volume. Effortlessly creating a melodic, yet razor-edged sonic environment of hook-laden alterna-pop. Having shared the stage with such influential artists as Semisonic, The Flaming Lips, The Lemonheads, Everclear, & Nova Mob these veterans of the Kansas area club circuit, continue in the tradition of the classic, straight-forward live approach, cultivating a deep-rooted, dedicated fanbase.
With much more to offer than a mere flavor of the week, the groups debut showcases their subtly sophisticated, yet accessible lyrical sensibilities with the raw musical power and energy mastered by few of today's burgeoning new artists. Drawing influences from such pop luminaries as Big Star, The Jam, and post-pepper Beatles, Sufferbus effortlessly churns out everything from catchy, twisted ballads to melodic crunch.
