Artist History Formed March 1995 by Joe Scherk and Scott Cowan, natives of Alaska and Missouri respectively, who met via Music Connection magazine in Southern California. Many acoustic shows later, they were joined by bassist/cellist/singer Peter Violas, and together the three completed writing and recording of their debut CD, Greetings From the Hinterland.
