    PAUL BARAKA is a Canadian composer living in Montreal ,who explores several forms and styles of music. His comprehension and his search of symbolism bring richness and depth to his music. BARAKA is carrying several projects, one of which is research on sacred musics of the world. Having in mind integrating and expressing these musical languages to correspond to our modern society and to bring back the values of sacred music to the new generations. PAUL BARAKA is a very deep and passionate person, he adores science, particularly astrophysics, theories on quantum and Chaos. Intuitively, he began some research in order to try to find emotional links between physics and music… Several of his compositions take science as a starting inspiration point. BARAKA is also more and more recognized for his very strong musical themes. he has many credits in publicity, film music and animation. In September 1998, the musical theme of the world wide animated series "Bob Morane" is shaking the TV-viewers of Europe, the Americas and Asia.

    Originally, he did not intend to have a career in music, he studied in administration and data processing in College but after a long illness, he started to be hunted by music… Not having any musical background, but thanks to his perseverance and talents in diplomacy, he succeeded in convincing the principal of the academy to take him as a student, actually he threatened not to leave his office until he accepted him… Two years later, Baraka was one of the finalists in a contest for musical interpretation in Quebec, and represented his college(1988). Then, University of Montreal intended him for piano interpretation, but he decided to continue to find his own way as a composer.
