Haybert Houston of Jazz Now writes, "Clark Gayton
is one of the better trombone players I have heard
in a long time." Richard Bogle of The Skanner
comments, "Let's hear it for Clark Gayton.... He
and his band Neatherealm have turned out a disk
of pop flavored jazz that's bound to please."

WHERE: Parkside Lounge (317 E Houston St., 212.673.6270)

Horn master Clark Gayton (Sting, The Skatelites, Mingus Big
Band, Maxwell) wields a gargantuan Sousaphone (big fat tuba)
and belts out chakra-bustin' dub-meets-Bootsy basslines.
For his Explorations in Dub, Clark has assembled members of
Steel Pulse, The Skatelites (Noel Alphonso, son of
ska-originator Roland Alphonso, plays the drums) and other
all-star guests that blow minds and genres at this
priceless weekly jam. The vibe is a funky melange of
improvisation-infused reggae, jazz, psychedelic ska and
surreal samples. Come on down and get some healin' with
Clark and his crew...
